Anyhoot
« on: July 29, 2005, 06:58:09 AM »
The other day I got an email from an old friend I'd pretty much lost touch with.  At the end of the message, he said "Anyhoot, that's what I think" (or something like that.  The important word here is "anyhoot", which was used.

I noticed it and found it strange, but didn't think much of it.

Just now I was over on Hatrack, and in the latest sex thread Altáriël of Dorthonion said "Anyhoot, I'll follow your advice Kwea, thank you."

Is this a new thing, or has it existed for some time without cropping up on my radar?

I hope you have a wonderful adventure in Taiwan. Not a swashbuckling adventure, just a prawn flavored pringles adventure.

Never heard of it before, but Google brings up 7300 hits. So I guess it's not all that new . . . around since at least late 2002.

Who knew?

I've seen anyhoo, but not anyhoot.  Are these people, perhaps, owls?
