Words that you always misread
« on: April 10, 2005, 12:19:55 PM »
I always read bugling as BUHG-ling (a little bug) and misled as MEYEZ-ld (the past participle of the verb misle, of course—but don't ask me what it means).

Does anyone else have problems like this, or is it just me?

I know I have, but none are coming to mind at the moment.

*giggles at "bug-ling"*

I read misled the same way. I had a friend who read bologna, Bo-lohg-nuh. I was so pissed when I found out misled was Mis-Lead. :/

Misread. I always think it's misread. (meaning: I always think it's the tense that it's not.)
