I just learned a word

I never recall having seen or heard this word before!

fillip (n)

Weird, fillip seems only mildly unusual to me. I think I might read an author or two who uses the word moderately often, and that might be why, but I can't place it.

Cool link. In the case of "fro", in the King James Bible the word "froward" is used to describe Israel as backsliding or going back to the incorrect traditions of the past. I've never heard it said anywhere else.
