Help! I can't think of a word.

What do you call the guy who swings the axe or lights the fire or puts the noose around someone's neck when they've been sentenced to death?

I know this word. I just can't think of it right now.

Being a farmer is not something that you do—it is something that you are.

Tell me about the novel you're writing.

(Heh.  That sure sounded like an eliza-like response.)

Um, it's an epic fantasy novel about a father-son-ish relationship wherein the father is basically blue and the son is basically orange. Each tries to do what he thinks is right and worth doing, and conflict arises between them. In the end, one becomes the villain, and the other finds he is the only one left alive who can save the world by killing the person he loves most in it.

And yes, I planned out the entire plot before seeing Revenge of the Sith.
