I just found this nifty little quiz. (http://www.pbs.org/speak/seatosea/americanvarieties/map/map.html) It was actually harder than I thought. I put a lot of them in an adjacent dialect.

If I'd know the one sentence began with "bob" and not "I", that might have altered my answers.  I think I only got 2 right.

I got one right, one of the southern ones, but other than that one, they all sound the same!
(to me)

I missed four. I'm with pooka on the "Bob" one; I had no idea what she was saying except that "jackknife" was in there somewhere. The one that was supposed to be Midwestern sounded distinctly mid-Atlantic to me (especially her pronunciation of pool), but maybe I'm crazy.
At any rate, I missed A, C, G, and I. I got both Western ones and both Southern ones (yay!) and one in each of the other categories.

I got the southern ones right, and was dead wrong on the western ones.  I thought the 'car' was 'cow'.  Total, I got five right.  D, K, B, H, and I.

"Bob was cut by the jackknife's blade."

What an odd sentence. If I had known she was saying "Bob," it would have been immediately obvious that she was northeastern.

			-
				I got three right.

How many did you miss the first time, Jonathon?

			-
				Four or five, I think.

			-
That makes me feel so good about myself! :)
<--- missed 4

				*awards a trophy*

I got one right in each section.
