Baby Steps
A few days ago, Lego started walking. Check out Brinestone’s Blog for more details if you haven’t already. I’ll try to get some better footage later, but for now here’s this.

Braden
Boy, he’s fast!
Melyngoch
Does this mean soon he’ll be speaking English? (Unless, of course, you’re raising him to speak Old Norse.)
Jon Boy
Braden: He sure is. And he’s already less wobbly than he was when I took that, which was late last week.
Melyngoch: We’re already working on that (the English, not the Old Norse—that will come later). So far he can say (with varying degrees of success) “milk,” “mom,” “dad,” and “light.” Oh, and I think he tries to say his name when he sees himself in the mirror. He’s already starting to work on /l/, which is pretty impressive, I think.

You guys are almost as cute to watch dote over that kid than that kid is at walking.
It might be cute now, but trust me, you’ll wish it never happened before long.

There must be something wrong with me. I’ve watched this video at least ten times today, and I have a living, breathing, walking toddler in the same room as me. I don’t get it.

It’s always startling how quickly the children of my friends grow up.
